We’re consolidating our social media accounts

Posted on October 18, 2017 Written by Adam Davis

Adam and I are fully in the swing of running our groups through Game to Grow.  It’s an exciting time for the two of us, and we’re so humbled by the response to our crowdfunding campaign.

As we’re moving forward, and as I mentioned in my last post, Wheelhouse Workshop will largely stop having much of an online presence.  As such, we’ve consolidated our Facebook and Twitter presences, rolling all of our current followers into Game to Grow.

So if you previously followed us on Twitter, you’ll now see that you’re following @GametoGrow.  If you’re not following yet, come on over!

We’re CLOSING SHOP! (but not really)

Posted on September 14, 2017 Written by Adam Davis

As we mentioned at our PAX West panel two weeks ago, Wheelhouse Workshop will no longer be running therapeutic social skills groups.  The groups Adam and I facilitate will be now run through an organization we founded called Game to Grow.  Game to Grow is a non-profit organization that will expand on the work we’ve been doing with therapeutic games for the past six years.  It will be bigger than the two of us, and we need your help to achieve all of its potential. Please watch the video below and check out our Indiegogo:

Wheelhouse Workshop will largely fade into the background, and we’ll be sharing more stories, and spreading the benefits of therapeutic games of all kinds through Game to Grow.  Head over to Game to Grow to learn  more.

Our PAX West Announcement is on YouTube!

Posted on September 9, 2017 Written by Adam Davis

Last weekend we attended and presented at PAX West here in Seattle.  It was our sixth PAX overall, and our third PAX West.  It is great every year to see the community that has been created around games of all kinds.  This year we had the added pleasure of announcing at our panel that we’re transitioning our services into a non-profit we founded called Game to Grow.  I’ll share more about this in the coming week, but in the short time, you can watch our presentation from PAX:

We loved sharing our stories and announcing the exciting things coming up for us in the coming year. If you’d like to learn more about Game to Grow, please check out our press release announcement and Game to Grow’s website.

Questions or comments? Did we miss anything? Please reach out to our NEW Facebook and Twitter:

Come see us at PAX West!

Posted on August 27, 2017 Written by Adam Davis

We’ll be returning to PAX West for the third time, and what will be our sixth PAX! We’re so excited to be able to update people about the work we’re doing with games in our therapeutic social skills groups, and we have some exciting news this time around. Come hear all about it! We’ll share updates as we get a little closer, but if you can’t handle the wait, neither could we!  We actually spilled the beans on our recent appearance on Dragon Talk, the official Dungeons and Dragons podcast and Twitch stream.

You can watch it on YouTube here.

Come join us at PAX! We’ll be paneling in the Cat theater at 12:30 on Friday. Our panel is called Roll, Play, Grow: Adventures in Gaming Therapy.

Adam Davis will also be paneling on Monday at 2:00 in the Cat theater in the panel Accessibility in Tabletop Games.

We’ll see you there!  If you can’t make it, don’t worry, we plan to film it and post it on our YouTube!
